Keeping the Warriors off the scoreboard was a major achievement for the Roosters, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck said after the side's 24-0 win at Allianz Stadium.
It was the Roosters' eighth win in nine games, and has the Kiwi fullback believing they can still catch Brisbane to claim top spot on the ladder.
Sydney Roosters are 1.14 to win their next game against Wests Tigers, who are 5.75.
The fact that they achieved a shut-out against a side boosted by three consecutive wins delighted Tuivasa-Sheck.
"I'm really happy with that win," he said. "We've been fighting for (holding a team to) zero this whole season so I'm really pleased about that."
The Roosters have conceded just 72 points in their eight home games so far this year, and their points difference is 21 better than the Broncos who head the ladder with three more wins.
"If we can, we'll definitely push for the number one spot," said Tuivasa-Sheck, who scored a try against the team he will join next year. "I think the Broncos are ahead by six points, hopefully we can catch them."
The fullback's try came when he claimed a mid-field bomb over his opposite number Sam Tomkins, eight minutes before the break. It was the Roosters' third try in a 10-minute spell and gave them a commanding 18-0 advantage.
Tuivasa-Sheck also had a game-high 22 runs for 248 metres and seven tackle breaks against Andrew McFadden's side.
Talking of his try, he said: "It's something we've been working on a lot just trying to isolate them underneath the post, because every team they've all practiced their one-on-ones on the wings and the centres. We've been working on that heaps and I'm just happy that pulled off today."
