Midfielder Mitch Wallis has credited coach Luke Beveridge with helping improve his game, after signing a new three-year deal with Western Bulldogs.
The 22-year-old is having his best season since being recruited by the Bulldogs as a father-son selection in the 2010 AFL national draft.

He leads the club in contested possessions, with 11.7, and with his 5.5 clearances per game, and is averaging 22 possessions so far.
Wallis had been used mainly as a tagger last season, but says Beveridge immediately offered him the chance to play more in attack after taking over as coach.
"From the first meeting we had he made it quite clear I wasn't going to be playing that (run-with) role, and that I was going to be joining in on team offence and defence," he said.
"So he was on the front foot with that straight away and I could not have been happier with that first conversation that we had."
The Bulldogs have finished on the bottom half of the ladder for the past four seasons, but Wallis has played a leading role in their revival this year according to list manager Jason McCartney. The club, who are 20/21 to finish in the top eight, are sixth after winning five of their last seven games.
"Along with Liam Picken, Mitch has shouldered a lot of responsibility and leadership in the midfield this year and has been central to some of our wins this season," said McCartney. "He is a mature head who is totally committed to the footy club in everything he does."
Wallis, who is the son of Bulldogs legend Stephen Wallis, has reached double figures for goals for the first time this season, with 10 in his 12 games so far.
Western Bulldogs are 11/10 to win their next match against Collingwood, who are 3/4.
