3rd Place Playoff: Portugal v Mexico – Sun 10:00pm

Portugal went into their semi final clash against Chile as firm favourties – wrongly so according to The Wolf. Chile were able to dominate possession and created the better chances including hitting the woodwork twice in the matter of seconds. Neither side were able to break the deadlock and when they went to penalties it was Bravo who was the hero. Portugal missed all three of their penalties with Ronaldo not even attempting one. Santos will surely start Quaresma for this one and his side should have little troubles breaking down a Mexico defence which has consistently leaked goals. Germany put 4 past them and it could have been more. The 3rd place playoff match has consistently been the most entertaining of the competition! There have been four or more goals in each of the last three matches to settle 3rd place with all three of them going to extra time. The Wolf is rolling out all 5 chips for Over 2.5 goals and wouldn’t be surprised if we see 5 or even six!

Best: Over 2.5 goals ($1.60)
Value: Over 3.5 goals ($2.60)
Correct Score: Draw 2-2 ($13.00)

Final: Germany v Chile  – Mon 4:00am

Germany have been a goal scoring machine throughout this tournament and their performance against Mexico was no exception. They have scored 3 or more goals in 3 of their 4 matches but it was Chile that held them to a single goal in their group game fixture. That 1-1 draw was the most technical battle of the tournament and we are in store for a repeat. Both sides will look to make an impression early by pressing up the pitch but The Wolf expects to settle into a real midfield battle after the opening 15 minutes. It will be Draxler and Goretzka for Germany versus Sanchez and Vidal. There is no doubt that the Chilean duo have a clear edge in flair and firepower but their counterparts play that traditional German role to a tee and will look to bring Hector, Kimmich and Can into the game at every opportunity. Germany are likely to go with a back three yet again and The Wolf says it leaves the door open. They have conceded in all 4 games this tournament and Chile will get their chances. The Wolf tipped Chile to lift the trophy and will be sticking with them but says we are likely to again see extra time and penalties which will suit Chile just fine – after all Bravo saved all three Portuguese penalties and Chile beat Argentina twice on penalties to win the Copa America.

Best: Both Teams To Score – YES ($1.90)
Value: Draw ($3.40)
Correct Score: Draw 1-1 ($6.50)
