EPL Match Previews

Bournemouth v Man City – (Sat 9:30pm)The travel for a unnecessary midweek friendly between game weeks was no doubt a contributing factor to City dropping points last week. They did well to salvage a point after Walker was sent from the field and although he will be suspended they have plenty of cover. Bournemouth have been busy themselves posting a come from behind win in a EFL Cup clash against Birmingham but they are yet to score a goal or grab a point in the Premier League. With Afobe and King up front they have been playing very direct and The Wolf expects that trend to continue at home this week. It is a tactic which has failed them against City though with the Manchester club winning their last 4 against the Cherries. City have been completely dominant in those encounters with a combined score of 15-1 across the 4 matches. The Wolf cannot get enough of the Silva/Aguero combination and says this could be the match where City explode!
Best: Teams To Score – Man City Only ($2.35)
Value: Man City Over 3.5 goals ($3.80)
Man Utd v Leicester – (Sun 2:30am)On the ladder and the scoreboard United are flying but The Wolf continues to doubt them! He says that goals in bunches on the counter have inflated the scorelines. They will not be afforded the same luxury against Leicester. After all, the Foxes won the title two years ago having less that 50% possession. That will not change. We will see them sit compact and deep and use Vardy to press from the front. Their energy levels have been incredible so far this season! Vardy is back to his best and Mahrez looks to have his confidence back. United did the double over Leicester last season but their history makes for interesting reading. Since Leicester returned to the top flight in 2014 the pair have played 7 times across all competitions. Both teams have scored in 6 of the 7 matches with at least 3 goals in 5 of them. The Foxes have also found the back of the net in 6 of their last 7 away EPL fixtures. They have also scored in each of their last 4 trips to Old Trafford. On the back of those stats The Wolf is shocked at the prices on offer in this one!
Best: Both Teams To Score – YES ($2.05)
Value: Leicester Over 1.5 goals ($5.50)
Chelsea v Everton – (Sun 10:30pm)The champions are not done just yet… despite the absence of key figures they ended Tottenham’s unbeaten run at home with a vintage display. Luiz and Kante won every battle in the middle and they took they chances with a unlikely Alonso brace giving them all 3 points. Everton were just as good against City with Rooney scoring his 200th Premier League goal but the late sending off will cost them dearly in this one according to Wolfy. We may be just two games into the season but it is clear that Schneiderlin holds the key to the Toffees midfield. With Bolasie, Barkley and McCarthy already out new signing Gilfy Sigurdsson will be on his own. Against the quality of Chelsea it is far too big a task. Chelsea have won the last 2 and 5 of the last 7 EPL fixtures between the two clubs – holding Everton scoreless in the last 4 wins. The Blues to get it done at Stamford Bridge.
Best: Under 2.5 goals and Chelsea ($3.30)
Value: Correct Score Chelsea 2-0 ($7.00)
Liverpool v Arsenal – (Mon 1:00am)Arsenal’s problems away from home continued last week with the Gunners loss at Stoke their 6th in their last 8 away EPL games. They’re on the road again this week and head to Anfield to take on one of their most hated rivals. The recent matchups between them have been nothing short of incredible! There has been 17 goals in their last 3 encounters with 35 in their last 8. Liverpool have lost only 3 of their last 28 home games in the league with Man Utd and Chelsea the only top 6 teams to claim all three points at Anfield dating back to October 2012. Liverpool are always a great bet when they face quality opposition and this clash is no exception. Koscielny is set to return this week but with the Liverpool press The Wolf can see them again coming undone at the back. Mane, Firmino and Salah will provide relentless pressure and it will be telling. You won’t want to miss this one.
Best: Over 2.5 goals and Liverpool ($2.75)
Value: Over 4.5 goals ($4.40)
Tottenham v Burnley – (Mon 1:00am)Things did not go according to plan in Spurs first home game at Wembley. Chelsea ended their run of 19 games undefeated at home came to an end but The Wolf says not to be alarmed. Full credit to Alonso for his double but it must be said that Lloris should have done better with both goals – especially the second. Kane is stuck on 99 goals for the club after the post kept him out but we should see him score his milestone goal against Burnley. Tottenham are undefeated in their last 6 against Burnley across all competitions including back to back wins in last season’s EPL. Burnley were unable to build on their upset win over Chelsea going down at home to West Brom but The Wolf says they have more than held their own on the road over the last 12 months. You wouldn’t believe it but Burley have found the back of the net in 12 of their last 14 away league games including the last meeting away to Spurs. Last season they scored at White Hart Lane, the Etihad, Emirates, Anfield and Goodison Park. Burnley’s ability to score away from home will create a very open game!
Best: Both Teams To Score – YES ($2.35)
Value: Tottenham Over 3.5 goals ($4.25)
