Steve Johnson v Kyle Edmund

Both men lost in their first matches at Washington, Montreal and Cincinnati but they have finally found some form this week – albeit against some weaker opposition. They posses similar game style but it is Johnson who has more power – particularly off the forehand wing. Edmund is the steadier of the two off the backhand wing Johnson holding serve at a slightly better rate. The American was the victor in their only other encounter which came two years ago at the Australian Open. Edmund was just 20 on that occasion and failed to deal with the weight of Johnson’s game. He will more than hold his own this time around and The Wolf can see this one going the distance.

Best Bet: Over 22.5 games ($1.85)

Roberto Bautista-Agut v Taylor Fritz

Fritz managed to get through Lorenzi in two tiebreakers despite having his serve broken on 3 occasions in the match. He cannot afford a repeat against the top seed whose 2nd serve numbers have been something to behold this week. The Spaniard has won over 77% of points behind his second serve which have helped produce two comfortable wins. Bautista-Agut won in straight sets when they met in Shanghai late last year in a match which Fritz won just 27% of return points. Bautista in straight.

Best Bet: Sets Bautista-Agut 2-0 ($1.75)
