It’s a top of the table showdown and one thing is for certain – things will get physical
Form
Port Adelaide ran all over Fremantle last week with gun Robbie Gray helping himself to 30 disposals and 6 goals in a best on ground performance. This makes it two wins in a row for Port after they accounted for Sydney in round one. Port Adelaide is up and about and will head into this weeks clash against the Crows full of confidence.
The Crows are also 2-0 after resounding wins over flag favourites GWS in round 1 and an away win against Hawthorn last week. Rory Sloane who was ferocious laying 16 tackles and the young midfield brigade followed suit with Charlie Cameron and Wayne Milera again standing up. Josh Jenkins will likely miss this week after a rib injury suffered in the first quarter. Jenkins didn’t make it back on the field, which made the Crows victory even better.

Betting Data

2017 Over/Under: Port Adelaide 2-0, Adelaide 2-0
What To Expect
Anything short of a finals type atmosphere and performance will be a let down here. The Crows will be looking to make this a shoot out given they have the number one ranked forward line in the competition. Daniel Talia will have his hands full dealing with Charlie Dixon, who has started season 2017 in terrific form and this matchup could well decide the game. Port will be relying again on Robbie Gray, Travis Boak and Ollie Wines to win the midfield battle while Adelaide only need to break even in this department, as their forward line is so dynamic. As this is a Port Adelaide home game, they will have the majority of the fans, which should be worth an extra goal to them. With the Crows having the advantage in recent times the Wolf can see this one going down to the wire with the Crows just getting the win.

Player Markets
Robbie Gray is the man in form for Port Adelaide after his unbelievable 30-disposal, 6-goal, 138-fantasy point effort last week. He also has the form on the board against this weeks rival. In his last 3 against the Crows, Gray averages 29 disposals, 4.7 tackles, 2 goals and 113.3 fantasy points per game. Ollie Wines is coming off 31 and 33 disposal matches so far in 2017 and has been super consistent since the midway point of 2016.
For the Crows, Rory Sloane was unstoppable last week scoring 152 fantasy points after recovering from his eye socket injury suffered in pre season. Matt Crouch lead the way for the Crows in the last match against Port finishing with 33 disposals, 6 marks, 6 tackles and winning the showdown medal. Wolfy cannot look past the recent form of Robbie Gray and will be backing him to kick 3 or more in a high scoring fixture.
